Ingredients
Frozen Texas toast (garlic, cheese, or plain), as many slices as you need
Optional: Grated Parmesan or extra shredded mozzarella (for extra cheesy toast)
Optional: Fresh parsley, red pepper flakes, or a pinch of Italian seasoning
Optional: Olive oil spray (for extra crispness on plain varieties)
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 350–360°F (175–182°C). If your model doesn’t preheat, run it empty for 2–3 minutes.
Arrange the slices in a single layer. Don’t overlap. Leave a little space so air can circulate. Cook in batches if needed.
Cook garlic or plain Texas toast for 4–5 minutes. Check at 4 minutes. You’re looking for golden edges and a soft, buttery middle.
For cheesy Texas toast, cook 5–6 minutes at 350°F. If you like deeper browning, add 30–60 seconds. Avoid going too hot or the cheese can scorch.
Boost the flavor (optional): Sprinkle on Parmesan, parsley, or a pinch of red pepper flakes in the last minute of cooking.
Serve immediately. Texas toast is at its best right out of the air fryer—crisp shell, tender center.
