Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes. A hot basket helps the coating crisp up right away.
Lightly spray the basket with cooking oil if your air fryer tends to stick. This is optional but helpful.
Add the frozen popcorn chicken in a single layer.
Don’t thaw. Avoid overcrowding—air needs space to circulate.
Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. If the bites are larger or very packed, you may need 11–12 minutes.
Check for crispness and temperature. The coating should be golden and crunchy, and the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Season right after cooking if desired.
A quick sprinkle of garlic powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt sticks best when hot.
Serve immediately with your favorite dips and sides. For a meal, pair with a salad or steamed veggies to balance things out.
