Air Fryer Frozen Pierogies - Crispy, Golden, and Ready in Minutes

Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Frozen pierogies: Any brand or filling. Standard size cooks most evenly.
  • Oil spray or a light brush of oil: Avocado or olive oil works well.
  • Salt and pepper: To taste.
  • Optional seasonings: Garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, or dried herbs.
  • Optional toppings: Sautéed onions, crispy bacon bits, chopped chives, sour cream, Greek yogurt, applesauce, or hot sauce.
  • Optional add-ins for serving: Melted butter for tossing, lemon wedges, or a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes. A hot basket ensures a crisp exterior.
  • Prep the pierogies. Lightly spray or brush both sides with oil. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.
  • Arrange in a single layer. Place frozen pierogies in the basket with a little space between each one. Avoid stacking so they crisp evenly.
  • Air fry for 12–14 minutes, flipping halfway. Start checking at 10 minutes. They’re done when they’re golden with a slight blister on the surface.
  • Adjust time for size. Mini pierogies may be done in 8–10 minutes. Extra-large ones may need up to 15 minutes.
  • Serve hot. Toss with melted butter and sautéed onions, or plate with sour cream and chives. Season to taste.
