Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes. A hot basket helps the coating crisp quickly.
Prepare the basket: Lightly mist the basket with oil spray if sticking is a concern. Avoid heavy sprays that can gum up the basket.
Add the frozen bites in a single layer: Do not thaw.
Space them out so air can circulate. Overcrowding leads to soggy spots.
Air fry for 6 minutes. This starts the browning process without drying the center.
Shake or flip the bites. This exposes all sides to the hot air and prevents flat spots.
Cook for another 3–6 minutes until golden and crisp. Total time is usually 9–12 minutes, depending on bite size and your air fryer model.
Check doneness: The exterior should be evenly browned and firm, and the center should be hot and melty.
If needed, add 1–2 more minutes.
Rest for 2 minutes. This helps the cheese set slightly so it doesn’t ooze out with the first bite.
Season and serve: Sprinkle with Parmesan or parsley, and serve with your favorite dips.
