Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3–5 minutes. A hot basket helps crisp the bottoms.
Lightly oil the basket. Spray or brush a thin coat to prevent sticking.
Do not soak.
Arrange the frozen dumplings in a single layer, flat side down, with a little space between each. Do not thaw first.
Spray the tops of the dumplings with a light coat of oil for better browning.
Air fry for 6–8 minutes at 370°F (188°C). At the 4-minute mark, shake the basket or gently turn the dumplings for even crisping.
Check doneness. They’re ready when the bottoms are golden and the wrappers look cooked through.
If needed, add 1–3 more minutes.
Optional steam finish: For softer tops, add 1 teaspoon of water to the basket and cook 1–2 minutes more. Stand back—steam releases fast.
Make a quick dipping sauce: Mix 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, a few drops sesame oil, and chili oil to taste. Add scallions if you have them.
Serve hot with the dipping sauce.
Garnish with sesame seeds or a squeeze of lime if you like.
