Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes. Preheating helps the fries crisp faster.
Add the frozen fries directly from the bag to the basket.
Don’t thaw them. Spread them out in a loose, even layer.
Lightly spray with oil if you want extra crunch. This step is optional, but it boosts texture.
Cook for 10–14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
Start checking at the 8–10 minute mark if your air fryer runs hot.
Shake or toss well at least once to prevent sticking and promote even browning. If the basket is crowded, shake twice.
Check for doneness: they should be golden, crisp on the edges, and tender inside. If they need more time, add 1–2 minute increments.
Season to taste right after cooking while the fries are hot.
Add a pinch of salt, pepper, or paprika if needed.
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce. Curly fries are best hot and fresh.
