Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes. Preheating helps the nuggets crisp faster.
Arrange the nuggets in a single layer in the basket.
Leave a little space between each one so air can flow. Don’t stack.
Optional: Lightly mist the nuggets with cooking spray for extra crunch. Skip if your nuggets already look well-coated with oil.
Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the nuggets halfway through.
Most standard-size nuggets are done around the 9-minute mark.
Check for doneness. They should be golden brown and hot throughout. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) for safety.
Cook a minute or two more if needed for extra crispness or if your nuggets are larger or thicker.
Serve immediately with your favorite dips. For a meal, pair with a salad, roasted veggies, or sweet potato fries.
